When it comes to weight loss, you’ve heard all the ‘magic bullets’…… “This diet pill will melt the fat right off you!” or “These meal replacement shakes are delicious, you’ll never be hungry, and you’ll be summer sexy in no time!” As hard as it may be, one thing will always stay true that you can’t lose weight until you want to, which means willpower, motivation, commitment & setting the right goals all go hand in hand. There is no easy shortcut to losing weight!!

Now the big questions – Why does losing weight have to be so hard? Why can’t I make up mind on how to go about losing weight?!

Here are some difficult things you’ll need to swallow in order to lose the weight and keep it off for good:

1. Diets, differentiate between them wisely


There is a healthy way to diet and an unhealthy way. The unhealthy way of dieting is extreme dieting, which can also be called crash dieting or, in really extreme cases, all-out fasting. Extreme dieting is not something to try, as it has numerous dangers associated with it. Slimming down and being able to maintain this smaller version of yourself is all about making a lifestyle change. That means figuring out a healthy diet that can be maintained for the rest of your life. What’s been proven to work is a diet full of fruits and veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins.

2. A Good Sleep pattern

In today’s busy world, it’s not easy to get a peaceful 5 hours of sleep, let alone 8. Especially for us mums, it’s a dream and that’s good to be true. In order to lose weight it is very essential to have our sleep patterns in place. Lack of sleep can make one lazy and prevent you from motivating yourself enough to lose that flab.

3. Walking Isn’t enough

I’m sure a lot of you must have received suggestions to go take an evening walk, walk around the block or brisk walk. But does that really help? Walking is nothing but preparing your body for a workout. It definitely does help loosen up your muscles but not essentially help you lose weight. A regular mix of cardio, squats & muscle toning is what will help you get back in shape. In short exercising regularly.

We all talk about how important it is to be healthy, so why not stay healthy by eating right and exercising the right way.
