In cases of abdominal tension, avoid food with a lot of spice or sauces. Stick to bland foods such as oatmeal, pasta etc as it causes less irritation. Bland food is also more easily digested than spicy food with a lot of seasoning. Including more bland food will help reduce vomiting and improve digestion.
5. Heat it up
No, not your child. Pick up the closest hot water bottle and fill it with boiling hot water. Wrap it in a cloth and put it on the area of the stomach that’s clearly causing your child immense amounts of distress. When you apply that amount of heat to the body, it increases greatly the blood rush to the skin, which is why it turns red.
