During Pregnancy cravings can be a nuisance as well as a boon in a woman’s life. Craving can change by the minute, falling prey to everyone of your cravings can turn out to be a menace. The joy of pregnancy comes with the assortments of food that you get to have. You do not need to be a foodie to relish every ounce of mouth watering food you take in. These are a few common food that expecting mothers crave immensely:

1. Chocolates

Chocolates touch the ‘soul’, so do not feel guilty about diving into a bar of chocolates. Try indulging in low-fat chocolate that will help you feel better about consuming it. Chocolates do not harm your baby. In case you have second doubts, consult a doctor.



2. 
Ice creams

A pregnant woman with a tub of ice cream is a common image that floods your screen if you type in ‘pregnancy cravings’. This is quite a common craving that women tend to go through. Ice-creams are not harmful to your baby so do not worry about digging into that tub of joy!

3. Chips

Junk food can take a huge compartment of your cravings. Try and slow down on a number of chips you take in while you are pregnant. Reduce the amount of oily potato chips you dig into. Instead, look for supplements such as baked chips.


4. 
Chicken

Craving meat during pregnancy is common, too. Meat, chicken in particular, is rich in proteins that help in the better development of your baby. Chicken tikkas, kebabs, and curries will start to taste like heaven.

5. Pickles

All kinds of pickles will hit the spot when you are pregnant. Since pickles are soaked in oil, you might want to take it slow with this one. Occasional cravings for pickles are not harmful, but try not to get it out of hand.

Spicy food

Being an Indian, spicy food and masaledar curries becomes a delight. This list of  cravings will be incomplete without adding spicy food to it. Chillies can be a craving for many expecting mothers, but too much of this can harm your stomach or cause discomfort to your baby.

Cheese

Melted cheese oozing out of a pizza or dripping down cheesy fries can be a weak spot for pregnant women. Do not worry about giving in to cheese, as it is quite healthy, giving it less chance to do harm to you or your baby.

Strawberries

Strawberries are not only an aphrodisiac,but also a divine fruit that you would relish once you get a bite of it, especially after a long awaited craving.

Jams and sweets

With the variety of sweets that we have, expecting mothers tend to crave one of their favourites among the large range of goodies. Fruit jams are also a craving that occupy a space on top cravings list of an expecting mother.


10. 
Lemon slices

Sour items can be one kind of craving. Lemons or sour food items can make a pregnant woman cringe at the taste of it while also giving her a sense of satisfaction.
