Bio-oil is a skincare product that is a simple combination of natural oils, plant extracts, and vitamins. This product became available worldwide in 2002 and is now the best-selling solution for scars and stretch marks. ThE combination of oils stands out from competitors because it isn’t too greasy to be used on the face and has multiple other uses. Dieter Beier, a German cosmetic scientist, realized that oil was a perfect medium to store vitamins and retain their potency, thereby creating bio-oil. As it is a combination of plant and vitamin oils, it moisturizes the skin while improving the texture and evening the appearance of skin tones, stretch marks and scars. It has a lot of oils, but the main ingredients are PurCellin oil, chamomile oil, rosemary oil, lavender oil, calendula oil, Vitamin E and Vitamin A. PurCellin is a synthetic form of the preening oil produced by ducks.

How does it work?

Bio oil treats dehydrating skin, aging skin, uneven skin tones, stretch marks and even old scars. It helps plasticize and moisturize the skin, giving it a smoother appearance. It is also highly effective in augmenting the natural ability of the skin to be elastic, which can aid in preventing stretch marks and wrinkles. Vitamin A

How effective is it?

How to use it?

It is recommended to use bio-oil during the second trimester. Use it twice a day for best results in areas like the belly, lower back, breasts, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Massage in a circular motion in the affected area and make sure the skin has absorbed the oil completely.
