Family trips are some of the most memorable experiences you’ll ever have. While your child is just a couple years old, he/she will be very curious and will most likely be an explorer. During their younger years, places like Darjeeling and Ooty, are very fun and will be enjoyable for both yourself and your child. However, the last thing you need during vacation time is problems like being under packed when it comes to your child’s stuff. Your child’s things may be a little difficult to find in holiday destinations and if your child is fussy, it can really ruin the holiday mood.
So here are 5 things you should have with you for your child when you are going for a holiday.
If your child is very young, take a few of their favorite toys with them. The travel or the new environment might scare them, and a familiar thing like their toy will help calm them.
Even if your child has moved on to solids, it is a good idea to carry some of their favourite food. This way, if your child doesn’t enjoy the food or if they become fussy about the food you get during the holiday, you’ll have something to fall back on.
You child may get bored, and at times like that, you should be prepared. Have a couple of their favorite colouring books and colours handy or if they are a little older, video games or a fun book will also do. But, be sure not to allow your child to be completely dependent on these things for entertainment because then he/she won’t want to go outside.
Carrying a blanket for your child is always advised, especially to cold destinations, as kids tend to catch a cold faster. They also have sensitive skin because of which rough blankets might be too harsh for them.
Always keep medicines for all possible problems handy. You never know when you’ll need them for yourself or your baby.
