With the introduction of so many means of watching movies and shows online, watching TV has reduced a lot. One of the most popular websites out there is Netflix. It is an American-based entertainment website that was introduced in India in January, 2016. They have a lot of regional content, as well as foreign content.

So, here are 10 shows we think our moms would love to binge watch (whenever they find the time).

1. Cable Girls

Cable Girls, or Las Chicas del Cable, is a 2017 feminist drama series set in the 1920s. It tells a story of four women from different backgrounds, newly hired as operators for a phone company. Perfect for every woman to get her fierceness on fleek.

2. What’s with Indian Men

Indrani Dasgupta and Sugandha Garg travel through the country to try and understand the men of India better. The show came out in 2011 and has been a quirky, must-watch series ever since. Women, let’s face it, we struggle to understand the men in our lives everyday, and maybe we can get a few pointers from them.

3. Outlander

Outlander is a 2014 British-American drama series based on the historical time travel novels by Diana Gabaldon. It’s storyline and good looking men are sure to hook you on to it. With 13 episodes per season, it is the perfect show to binge watch when the kids sleepover at their friend’s place!

4. Stories By Rabindranath Tagore

Stories by Rabindranath Tagore is a 2015 Hindi television series set in Bengal of the 1920s. It showcases the short stories by the literary legend and Nobel laureate. It is sure to bring back childhood memories of your parents or even your grandparents and their late-night story-telling sessions.

5. Penn and Teller: Fool Us

Who doesn’t love a little bit of magic? Penn & Teller: Fool Us, a British-American television series, has magicians performing tricks in front of American magician-comedian duo Penn & Teller. If the duo cannot figure out the trick behind the ‘magic’, the magician who performed it wins a five-star trip to Las Vegas. That’s not all! They even get to perform as the opening act in Penn & Teller’s world-famous show. This is a fun show to have your kids join in on too.

6. Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Zindagi Gulzar Hai (English: Life is fruitful) is a Pakistani drama based on the novel of the same name by Umera Ahmad. The story revolves around two people, opposite in thought and financial status. The show has a strong female lead, therefore gettign great response from women. So, let the feminist in you indulge in this drama series. Also, did we mention this show has Fawad Khan in it?!

7. House M.D.

House (also called House, M.D.) is an American television medical drama that revolves around Dr. Gregory House, a medical genius dependent on pain medication, who leads a team of diagnosticians in New Jersey. His quirky humor and cocky style will make you fall in love with him!

8. Fuller House

Remember the adorable series from your childhood, Full House? Prepare to go “awww!” again because they have a sequel! The series centers around D.J. Tanner-Fuller, a veterinarian and widowed mother of three sons, whose sister and bestfriend provide support in her son’s upbringing by moving in with her. This show still has most of it’s original cast with a couple of good-looking additions. It is the perfect show to reminisce the past with your besties.

9. Santa Clarita Diet

Santa Clarita Diet is an American horror-comedy, which revolves around a married couple, Sheila and Joel, whose lives take a dark turn after Sheila goes through a transformation, i.e., becoming a zombie who feeds on human flesh. This comedic, yet gory show has a couple graphic scenes, so you might want to keep it out of the kid’s reach.

10. Stranger Things

This is the hit 2016 series, which is definitely a must watch! It is an American science fiction/horror series. It is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s, and focuses on the investigation of the disappearance of a young boy by his friends, older brother, traumatized mother and the local police chief, while supernatural events are occurring around the town. WATCH IT!!! That’s all that needs to be said.
