Husbands can be a little troublesome to understand, sometimes. More so because they don’t often speak the things that they want you to understand and there are a few things about them that they just don’t want you to know. But, don’t worry, as we are here to help you understand your main man better.
1. He is a keen observer
He observes you and everything else around him more than you probably think he does. He sees everything and notices all the little details. His eyes are constantly roaming, looking at the things and people around you. Also know that, if you see a pretty girl around the two of you, he probably saw her long before you even noticed her.
2. He has a big ego
You may have heard all about the male ego, but you should know that his ego is more fragile than you imagined. He is also tired of people associating every issue of his to his ego and listening to jokes made about it. You may want to tread carefully in this territory. Admire him because there is no man alive who does not want to be admired by the woman he loves and has married.
3. Don’t be his mother
Always remember that you are his wife, not his mother. Men may act like big babies, more than often, but mothering them will never work. He wants you to be a great mum – but to his kids, not him. Be his partner or his best friend, but never his mother.
4. He loves you in a unique way
He will not probably do all the things they show in movies and maybe he would not do all the little things that you would expect him to do, but that does not mean he loves you any less. He will love you in his own unique way. Maybe a kiss before he leaves for work or a hug when he comes back home – these are the gestures that he shows his love with. You will have to recognise them. He will not always say he loves you with words, but he loves you dearly.
5. It hurts him when you correct him
Men have a fundamentally different design than women. Due to this, they tend to do things differently, but they get it done. Women, on the other hand, prefer things to be done their way, so when you try to correct him, it would obviously hurt him. Sometimes he might need correcting, but the way you do it matters a lot to him. Suggest some changes to him, tell him how he could’ve done things better. However, is you try to correct him like he cannot do anything correctly, you’ve got yourself in trouble.
6. What he does is who he is
More often than not, you would feel like you don’t really know who he is or what he likes. Try to figure out what he likes to do or what he is obsessed with. It’s his identity. It may be golf, fishing, or collecting comic books or stamps. When you don’t value it, he may feel like less of a man.
7. He thinks you are wonderful
He probably loves you way more than you think he does. He is in awe of you. He knows what you are capable of doing and achieving. He wonders how you do all that you do. And most importantly, he respects you – probably more than he knows how to communicate the same with you.
