Pregnancy is just the beginning of a lifelong bond of beautiful relationship with your child. Although the beginning few weeks can be super difficult for you to manage pregnancy, over time it just gets better. You gradually begin to get attached and bonded to your baby inside of you, growing stronger day by day.
To help you realize that you’re about to become a mom, you could try to interact with your little one even when he’s still inside your womb. This is a great way to prep yourself for the beginning of a new life.
Here are few things you can do with your little one even before he steps into the world:
1. Massage your baby bump
Massaging is a great way to not just to calm yourself but a nice way to come in contact with your baby. You can feel movements after the first three months and it is a feel good thing to do.
Use fragrant oils like lavender and hop into the shower for a steamy aroma shower. You need to pamper yourself as much as you can.
2.Sing and talk to your baby
You know that babies can hear you even if they’re covered in amniotic fluid in your womb. If you’re singing to him and reading poetry for him, you’re on the right track. Your child will become familiar with your voice and you’ll be in a position to feel your baby move inside your stomach!
Once your baby is born, the two of you will bond immediately because your voice is familiar to your baby.
3. Help papa bond too
You might find it weird in the beginning while trying help the daddy bond with the unborn baby. You have to motivate the daddy to talk to the bump so that he would also feel like a part of this entire journey of pregnancy. It is quite captivating even for the fathers to experience this bonding session with the baby even while the child is still inside the womb!
Capturing your baby bump on camera is like saving that day’s memory forever with you. It is a wonderful way of bonding with your baby. Keep such happy photographs around you so that you’re surrounded by happiness and you will only have good thoughts in your mind when you think of your baby! So what if your photo won’t be a cover of a magazine, you get to look at it privately and keep away from any sort of negativity. It is safe for both you and your baby. 5. I like to move it!
To bond with your baby, your motive should be to keep your baby and yourself in a healthy state. Therefore your mantra to fitness regime should be “ I Like To Move It Move It!” Get off the couch and move around. Go for walks in the parks, engage in prenatal yoga so that you’re flexible and you can prepare yourself for labor too.
The movement you make while walking around or doing yoga helps to rock your baby even if he is inside your womb. The endorphins released during this will get pass the placenta and reach your baby. It is quite engaging for your baby as he will be active enough even though the baby is still in your womb.
6. Write it out
When you write your feelings out on a piece of paper, it makes you feel more ready to face anything that comes your way. Similarly, if you write about your feelings about the transition from 1+1 to 2+1, it sure will be the best gift you could give your child when they grow up.
Everything you felt can be penned down in the form of pregnancy journal or letters to the unborn. Imagine the thrill the child will experience when he/she reads about your thoughts about the baby while you were pregnant.
7. Keep calm
Your baby is sensitive to your emotions and he is able to sense the emotions the mom is facing. The rate of your heartbeat, hormonal levels in your body and the breathing pattern can have a major influence on your baby.
So, it is advised all moms-to-be to be calm and peaceful. If you are feeling peaceful, the hormonal levels are more stable and it can also influence your baby’s stability even while he is inside your womb. Yep, babies can sense calmness and peace too!
