Nothing can be more relaxing than spending quality time with the family. Everyday, in both our personal and professional lives, we seldom find time for family and loved ones. While it is difficult to meet and spend time in the day, you can always make up for the lost time at night. You can have your dinner together, discuss the day’s sequence of events or indulge in some fun night activities!
These fun activities are not only refreshing but also a great way to stay connected with the family!
1. Unleash the actors in you!
Once in awhile, the family can indulge in impromptu acting. From famous personalities to cartoon characters, you can mimic anyone as long as it keeps the funny bone tickling. Kids will not only love this for sure, but also actively participate in it. You can also play games like Dumb Charades or Chinese Whispers, which can involve a huge number of people!
2. Ice creams, you screams!
This is an activity that the whole family will enjoy to the hilt. All you need to do is align bowls filled with ice creams in a straight line on a table (one ice cream bowl for each family member). Next, keep your hands tied at the back and lick the ice cream from the bowl. There is, however, a small twist. The person who finishes his or her ice cream first gets to eat another bowl of ice cream. What fun indeed!
3. Passing the parcel
Everyone is familiar with this game. Pass on the parcel with music playing in the background. The person with the parcel when the music stops gets to do something as a punishment. Make the punishment as funny as you can so that everyone can enjoy it. It is best to play the game outside, preferably on the lawn or in the backyard.
4. Picnic under a blanket of stars
Yes, you heard it right! Picnics at night can be an amazing experience. You can sing, dance, play games, and eat to your heart’s fill. Night activities with the family cannot get better than this. The next time you plan a picnic, make sure you try it at night.
5. Camping with a twist
Camping in itself is fun and adventurous. To make it more entertaining, you can organize a night camp with your family in a nearby park or field. Sounds interesting? Set up a tent, load it with all the necessary items (food, books, games) and let the fun begin! A night camp-out with your loved ones over the weekend will be an unforgettable experience!
6. Cooking with the fam!
All you need to do is to get the whole family around and experience the joy of cooking together. To add to the thrill and fun, you can have the cooking not in the kitchen, but in the open, with a barbeque! Cooking in the open, in the silence of the night, with the fire sizzling, a barbeque and a campfire. Can it get any better?
7. Movie night!
There can’t be many things that beat watching a movie with the whole family from the comfort of your home. If you have kids at home, you can settle for an animated movie or a movie that your kid will love watching the most.
