When you’re carrying a little baby inside of you, your responsibilities shoot up. You can no longer be the carefree, stupid person you could have been otherwise – you need to be super careful while doing anything, you need to eat and hydrate right and you need to remain calm and make sure you’re not too stressed or angry.

You’re sure to undergo many changes when you’re pregnant – you’ll grow big, you might have mood swings, you might have crazy cravings, you might feel extra energetic or extra slow – but all of these are normal. Once you start getting used to these changes, you must remember that a little human is growing inside of you, so you have to be super cautious with whatever you do.

Here are 4 things you may not know could affect your pregnancy –

1. Awkward Sleeping Position

The foetal position has been described by many pregnant women to be the most comfortable position for sleeping. Sleep on one side, with your knees bent slightly – and you will find yourself sleeping like a baby. You can use pillows under your belly, between your legs and behind your back, if you need to. Avoid lying on your back.

2. Unhealthy Eating Habits

Just because you’re pregnant, you don’t have to start eating for two. Following a healthy and nutritious diet becomes very important when you’re pregnant. To ensure that you have a healthy and balanced diet, you can use this guide.

3. Improper Clothing

Right from the moment you find out you are pregnant, your body will start changing. Your shape and size will change several times during your pregnancy, but that doesn’t mean that you drop your fashion sense! You can choose to look fabulous, just like Kareena Kapoor did during her pregnancy. Just make sure that you choose clothes that are loose, comfortable and breezy.

4. Bad Habits

When I say bad, I mean unhealthy. You may enjoy the occasional drink or smoke, but when you’re pregnant, it is best if you avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, doing drugs, eating junk and lacking sleep. Your baby’s health depends entirely on you – so don’t do anything that might harm your baby.
