Breasts are the wonderful creation of nature. Women were blessed with breasts because they are the only ones to have been bestowed with the power of bringing in a new life into the world and nurturing them.
Breasts are marvellous for they provide nourishment to the baby. Breastmilk contains the essential antioxidants which help in building up your baby’s immunity. Wonder why breastfeeding is such a problem when done publically. It is basically just a baby trying to have his food! Breastfeeding is an art of every mother and it is hella empowering and that’s the kind of positivity you need to have in your day!
Here’s a series of photographs captured by a photographer whose motive is to stop people from being too judgmental about breastfeeding in public. Hats off to the photographer for such a beautiful message!
1.Pretty in pink and lavender
This story is captured by a photographer named Ivette Ivens, a Lithuanian-born photographer from Hinsdale. She has been capturing our minds with her brilliant themed photography to spread the awareness about how good breastmilk is for your baby!
2. A mother is no less than a Goddess
” IF PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD THE BENEFITS WITHOUT BEING LAMBASTED WITH PROPAGANDA FOR MAN-MADE MILK, FORMULA, ETC. I BELIEVE THEY WOULD VIEW NURSING AS THE MOST NATURAL GIFT AND NOT SOMETHING TO BE SEXUALIZED”
She has an active Instagram page running and she picks her muse according to their inspirational stories.
4. The following image that you’re about to see is a burn survivor who is proudly breastfeeding her baby!
Her style of art is based on real-life human stories and she leaves us all enchanted with a powerful message for each of the photographs!

13.So what if you’re at a beach…breastfeeding isn’t a crime!
Her photographs are a part of this coffee-table book called ‘Breastfeeding Goddesses’. Upon asking her why she chose such a sensitive issue to cover, she said:
“THE COMMENTS AND DEGRADATION I ENCOUNTERED AND HEARD FROM OTHERS PROMPTED ME TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, AND BY THIS I MEAN FOR BOTH THE CHILD AND THE MOTHER! I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A BEAUTIFUL AVENUE FOR SUCH A CAUSE!”
She has phenomenally captured the beauty and emotions of a mother as she breastfeeds he baby. It is truly so empowering for women. We do need such positivity in our lives and people who know what’s right and what’s not. Breastfeeding in public is still considered as an act that is shamed by both men and women equally. It is human to feed the baby when he gets hungry!
